This blog is supposed to be about the trials and frustrations of development planning in the metro area of Portland, Oregon. But for the moment, it is going to be my sound board about finding a new job in this town, away from the trials and frustrations of development planning in Portland. I feel the ship is sinking at my current company, a small consulting firm working with developers to "plan the land" in and around Portland. There are many reasons for the potential downfall of my company and for why I may make my exit soon. These will be compiled in the next few posts. Then I will get back to writing about some fundamental problems I see with development and planning in Portland. Good thing no one reads blogs anymore. If my company weren't going down the tubes, I could probably get fired for this.
